Peak-summer international: plan ~3 hours curb-to-gate; shoulder/domestic can work closer to 2–2.5 hours.

June–September European charter and LCC turns stack check-in, outbound immigration, and security harder than the floor plan suggests — even after the 2025 Terminal 2 expansion. Build 3 hours for busy international departures in peak season; 2–2.5 hours is usually enough for quieter shoulder-season or domestic hops. Late-evening holiday returns can still look short on the clock and long in the queue.

Intl departures live in Terminal 2; Domestic is separate; free curb shuttle stitches the campus.

Fraport TAV’s passenger notice: all international flights from Terminal 2 since 27 Oct 2025 23:59. Domestic stays at the Domestic Terminal. If you are landside at the wrong building, use the free ring shuttle between Domestic, Terminal 1, and Terminal 2 (departures-front stops, ~every 20 minutes). Airside, after passport control in T2 you are committed — Comfort Lounge is the Priority Pass international product on Floor 3.

Better restaurant count after 2025 expansion; still grab food before the gate call in July–August.

Fraport’s expansion messaging cites dozens of restaurants and a dedicated F&B joint venture (“Best Food for All”) across the enlarged terminals, including Turkish and international quick-service. That is a genuine upgrade versus the old crush halls — but a Saturday afternoon German/UK charter bank will still wipe seating near popular gates. Eat early after security or use a lounge if you have access.

Priority Pass / LoungeKey-style networks currently advertise Comfort Lounge in Terminal 2 and CIP Lounge Domestic only. FTA Exclusive sells higher Comfort / Elite / Premium CIP packages online and walk-up (published 2026 walk-in examples: Comfort intl ~€85, Elite dep ~€160, Premium ~€450 — online usually cheaper; domestic Comfort listed in TRY). Confirm which product your card actually opens before you walk past duty-free hoping for Elite.
