Cabin-bag domestic passengers who already know their gate can often work with about 60–75 minutes curb-to-gate when queues are calm. International check-in plus security and outbound passport control still wants about 2–2.5 hours on a normal day — longer in school holidays, AFL Gather Round, Adelaide 500 / major-event peaks, and Christmas/New Year. Domestic ↔ international same-day connections need a real landside buffer after bags and border formalities even though you never leave the building.

Everything is Terminal 1. After check-in, domestic passengers use the Level 2 domestic security / gate concourse (Plaza Premium Domestic near Gate 16; Rex near Gate 10; Qantas precinct opposite Gate 21; Virgin opposite Gate 15). International passengers clear security and passport control into the Level 1 international pier (Plaza Premium International). Immigration for the international lounge opens about 90 minutes before departure per Adelaide Airport’s Plaza Premium page — do not assume you can enter hours early.

Priority Pass soft options are Plaza Premium Domestic (all-day domestic bank), Plaza Premium International (split international banks — confirm live hours), and the compact Rex Lounge. PP Eat credits at Coopers Alehouse and Pantry are restaurant credits, not soft lounges. Entitled Qantas / oneworld / Virgin passengers should prefer the airline rooms over last- minute airside grabs during event peaks.

Calendar 2025 international traffic jumped ~20%+ on new/returning long-haul and regional capacity (United San Francisco, Qantas Auckland, Air New Zealand Christchurch, Cathay return, China Southern seasonal, and other Asia/Pacific banks).
